hey tweeted that “In a few days, PHP 7.1 will stop receiving security fixes. Only 9% of Magento stores worldwide will run a secure PHP version.”
It’s great that Sanguine is staying on top of these things and keeping the Magento community informed. This shows an unfortunate struggle in our community in terms of staying up-to-date.
I hate to say it, but that’s ultimately one of the benefits of SaaS—individual store owners don’t have to deal with things like this.
It’s hard for merchants to stay on top of things like this. It can be expensive and time-consuming. But only 9% of stores running a secure PHP version is definitely not good.
I don’t know what the resolution is in this situation. Hopefully, now that this information is out there, merchants can get with Sanguine and secure their stores.
